Stay on the ABM base with cross-border excursions
An immersion trip is a powerful way for your group to experience cross-cultural ministry firsthand. You'll stay on our base in San Juan, Texas, and cross into Mexico to visit migrant camps, distribute literature in Progreso, visit the local market, and engage with the community at the border.
Sample Itinerary
Tuesday Evening
Arrival
Arrive at the ABM base in San Juan, TX. Get settled in and meet the team.
Wednesday
Orientation & Local Outreach
Orientation to the ministry. Visit the local area and begin engaging with the community.
Thursday
Cross into Mexico
Cross the border to visit migrant camps. Share encouragement, distribute literature, and connect with families.
Friday
Progreso & Border Ministry
Pass out literature in Progreso, a border town. Visit the local market and engage with residents.
Saturday
Reflection & Service
A day for reflection, team building, and additional service opportunities on the base or in the community.
Sunday/Monday
Departure
Depart Sunday PM or Monday morning.
Good to Know
Groups must bring their own cook. A donation for food used during your stay is appreciated.
A valid passport or passport card is required for crossing into Mexico.
